History
Mr. Muhammad Shafi, the CEO of the company, comes from the renowned Chhipa family, known for their exceptional block printing work in Rajasthan before the Indo-Pak partition. With a rich heritage in textile dyes and chemicals, the Chhipa family has ingrained expertise in their veins. The term “chhipa” derives from the Gujarati word “chhapa,” meaning to print, highlighting their community’s renowned reputation for their exceptional craftsmanship.
Since its establishment in 1968, G.R. Traders has become a leading importer of dyes and textile chemicals, continuing the business legacy started by Muhammad Shafi’s father, Ghulam Rasool. In 1982, G.R. Traders achieved a significant milestone by becoming the sole agent in Pakistan for M. Dohman Gmbh & Co., a renowned German corporation, strengthening their industry position. In 2011 G.R. Traders expanded into a world of natural wellness, offering a variety of organic herbs and seeds to empower healthy living. In 2020 G.R. Traders has strengthened its presence by establishing a strong partnership with Akkim, a renowned chemical manufacturer based in Turkey. enhancing their product portfolio and reputation as a trusted supplier. G.R. Traders maintains a mutually beneficial relationship, leveraging their connection to enhance their offerings and expand their reach in the chemical industry.
